I gave you my heart

I gave you my heart
I placed in your hands
An ore that was inherited
By an entire community
And you deserted it
To be consumed by the raging winds
And fiery sun

I gave you my heart
In your hands I placed
The length of days and my life
Many years of nurtured warmth
And of selected choices
Of kindled thoughts
All at a risk I gave

I gave you my heart
I placed in your hands
Its keys as we rode triumphantly
Side by side the envying night sky
To shine your star and twinkle brightly
On my still waters but briefly
For a perpetual frown

I gave you my heart
I placed in your hands
My all and I had all what you gave out
Friendship for my love
To lose it all and become broken
Broken from my heart
To my hopes and to my all
Just like all others that came

I gave you my heart
I placed in your hands
A treasure and you rolled it
Through my fortress in a boat
Without even whispering to me
At where I lay in vigil to see
You in the distance, In the moonlit night
Your radiating smile
Like a flash of lightning in a cloudy day

They will come and go
But I will stay
Remain without the pump of life
The pleasures and the spices
All because of the cooing
The cooing of the migrating cuckoo
Whose feet hardly grips hard
The boughs of the tree of love

In tears the red balls will be
In sorrow the heart will stay
With imprisoned appetite
And weakened strength
Not knowing why I gave my heart
Nor how I place it in your hands
But a loss but a shocking silence
Like broken beads around the waist will be
