THE UPROAR



Up into the heavens came the uproar
Bursting out of the atmosphere’s air sac
Pins and needles could not give off this pain
Like a blow from a strong man on guard against an enemy
While like drunkards we received them
When fear caught our breadth to cry
And tied our brave hands between the laps.
We did see his greatness even now:
Eternal, invisible and immortal he
Transient, visible and mortal we
